He ran.
His lungs burned and his muscles ached.
He stopped and banged on the door.
"Valenti!" He cried as the door opened.
"Evans," he replied harshly standing guard.
"You fucking bastard," Max groaned. Kyle's jaw tightened in response.
"Nice to see you too," Kyle spat as he turned from him.
"Is that all you have to say?" Max growled as he followed him into the house and slammed the door.
Kyle glared at him, "what do you expect?" He paused as he clenched his fists. "You are the one that insulted me."
"Why?" Max asked frustrated. "You lied to us. You said she was like your sister." He paused as he glared at him. "You slept with Tess!"
"Oh," Kyle gasped as he looked away.
"Oh?" Max repeated.
"What does it matter now?" He whispered. "It only happened once."
"It only takes once to knock her up!" Max cried out as he waited for a response.
Kyle flinched and looked back at him, "you should know."
"Should I?" Max inquired stepping closer, challenging him.
"I think you should leave," Kyle replied as he took a step back.
"You knew," Max gasped. "This whole time. You knew it was your kid and you never said anything."
Kyle closed his eyes and sighed, "I had a feeling, but since he reached out to you. I.." Kyle paused taking a deep breath. "I assumed that the baby was yours."
"Why didn't you say anything?" Max cried losing his temper. "This summer, I have searched and I have risked my life, everyone's life to find him."
Kyle stood silent unable to respond.
"Fuck, I could kill that bitch!" Max cursed as he slammed his hand down on the table.
"You don't mean that."
"Hell, I do." Max growled. "She lied to me. She made me believe that she was carrying our child."
"At least she loved you," Kyle replied bitterly.
"Huh?"
"Fuck, Max." Kyle cried. "You have gotten everything I have ever wanted. You got everything that you have ever wanted."
"Have I?" Max inquired, "I never got the one thing that I really wanted."
"What would that be, oh almighty king?" Kyle replied sarcastically. "Haven't you gotten enough? You got Liz's love, you got Tess' love. Hell, you even got my own father's love and respect. What else is there left?"
"You," Max whispered. Max brought his hand to his lips shocked that he admitted his secret, his hidden desire.
Kyle looked at him in shock. "Me?"
Max nodded unable to deny his feelings.
"If you wanted me, why the hell did you take everything from me?"
Max looked away.
"Because you could? Torture the weak human boy. He loves you, he won't care if you mess with him."
Max smiled. "You love me?"
"What? Hell, no."
"You just said you loved me."
"In your dreams, Evans."
Max smirked as he walked closer to him. "In my dreams or yours?"
"Get out!"
"No! I came here to-"
"To what? To threaten me? To tell me that I have a kid with Tess? What do you want?"
Max looked at him blankly, the reason for him coming over seemed vague and uncertain. He stopped listing to what Kyle was saying. He watched his lips moving.
"Earth calling Max!" Kyle cried out as he waved a hand over his face. "Max?"
Max grabbed his hand as his gaze met up with his. "Don't you feel it?"
"Feel what?" Kyle managed to whisper.
"Our connection," Max stated as he closed the gap between him and placed his hand on Kyle's chest.
Kyle moaned softly as a soft pulse radiated from Max's hand. "I don't feel anything."
"Feel this?" Max asked as his breath lingered on his skin.
Kyle heart skipped a beat and he closed his eyes, "Max, don't."
"Why?" He moaned as he felt the heat radiate of him. Max wanted to touch him, to be with him.
"Max," he drawled as he pulled away. "We can't."
"Isn't it time," Max whispered as he reached out once more to him. "Isn't it time we were able to feel?"
Kyle closed his eyes, unable to respond, he knew what he really wanted and he couldn't fight it anymore. "Max," he hissed as he grabbed his bicep and dragged him closer to him. "Don't start what you can't finish." He warned as he licked his lips.
Max only smiled in response and leaned in to kiss Kyle's moistened lips. The feel of Kyle's lips was softer then he hand imagined and he groaned greedily into his lips as Kyle parted his lips, darting out his tongue to meet his.
"Kyle," Max groaned in reply as he ran his hands over Kyle's back, trailing down and gasping as he touched his bare skin that peeked out from under his t-shirt.
"Max," he moaned as he reached around and pulled Max roughly against him. "Stay."
"Yes," Max promised as he kissed him softly. "I'm not running anymore."
